9/2: Scratch Blog Entry

When I first started playing with scratch, I was pretty confused. I did not know how to connect the motions with the sprites. After I was told how to do that, I had a lot of fun with Scratch ! I played around and figured out how to do some pretty neat things. I realize now that there are a ton of things that people can make on Scratch.

Scratch is a very cool and relatively simple to use interface that allows children to learn coding, design, games, story telling, and art . Here are two potential scratch lesson plans

1) Make a game on Scratch

Learn how about computer programming and gaming on scratch. Share you games with you classmates !

2) Tell a story Scratch

Learn how to tell a story though moving images and backgrounds.

  1. I remember your project in class! I really liked that your process of figuring out how to use scratch was evident in your work. I enjoyed that you had to try various ways of using the commands to arrive at your outcome. I also enjoyed that you put thought behind your game as a way for students to storytell using scratch!
